Description:
In my first attempt at doing a mosaic, I decided to do a gazing ball. This gazing ball is simple in design. I wanted something that I could place in the garden outside and that would complement the natural garden and colors. So, what is more natural than the sun and the blue sky? I drew the design myself and learned that there's a definite difference between a drawn design and the applicable design in mosaics, especially when you are doing a mosaic on a curved surface such as a bowling ball. Yes, a bowling ball, as that is the base of my gazing ball. I purchased the bowling ball at the local Goodwill and then products to clean and prime the surface at Home Depot and upon much Googling, I used a mishmash of others techniques and ventured into my new craft project, a mosaic gazing ball. For my first attempt at a mosaic, I was happily impressed by the finished project.
