Batson Children's Rainbow

My hometown has a children's cancer clinic incorporated into a children's specialty hospital and this beautiful rainbow is their logo. I made this mosaic logo as a donation in appreciation to the doctors and staff for saving the life of my 10 year old niece and then again for my 17 year old daughter. It hangs just outside the PICU where most all of the children and families can enjoy it. I am very proud of this piece that is made with large "chunk" rocks of brightly colored glass. Some flat glass and half marbles are mixed into the sun, kite and background which is made with clear textured glass and overplayed with acrylic. The second photo shows the 3D effect from the side. The 3rd & 4th photos are the piece hanging in the hospital. The final photo shows the presentation.
