Description:
This is an original stained-glass panel illustration of Aesop's fable, "The Wolf and the Crane". I used my dog as the model for the wolf after finding her in a lovely pose with one paw turned under and one hanging over the side of the chair. In my original sketch of this piece I had the crane legs going backwards. I finally had the good sense to look up some crane pictures and realize my mistake before I created the legs in glass. Part of one of the Crane's legs and the tip of the wolf's paw are created in copper on the back of the piece. This panel is 3' x 2.5'. This picture uses multiple types of glass with free-hand cut copper foil overlay.
