Northern Lights

This is a lamp I made with a pattern from the book Box Column Lanterns.  I enlarged the pattern to accomodate the size deck post that the base and cover fit.  I used a Cedar base cap for a deck post that you can pick up at the local hardware store along with a cap for a deck post with a gorgeous copper top.  It is lit with a 60w equivalant LED bulb.  I also glued a mirror to the top of the inside of the cap to reflect the light back down into the lamp to give it more light.  The glass was a piece that I was saving for a special project like this one.
