Blue eye mosaic

This beautiful blue eye is my daughters! She took a close up picture and I said Wow I have to mosaic this! I used smalti glass with weldbond glue and mesh, then adhered it to wedi board and thinset.  After attending classes at the Chicago mosaic school I was determined to make a small detailed mosaic.  I used three different skin colors, four shades of blue, two shades of black, white marble and gray stone. The eye was framed in a silver frame.
