This is from an actual fossil that I made a mold of. It is pate de verre - which means crushed glass and is a neat process developed by Alicia Lomme where you use a spoon to pack wet glass into a plaster mold. The interior is hollow! It is amazingly light but looks like ancient stone. 3 x5 x 5 inches. The black and blue details and veins are made by layering glass powders. Made of COE 90 Bullseye glass and powders
