"Red-tailed Hawk"

A fused glass powder frit rendering of a red-tailed hawk. My goal was to create details representing the various types of feathers and create a piercing eye.

This technique involves sifting dry glass powder frit onto a base glass, pushing the powder around with various tools, then firing. Multiple layers and multiple firings help me create detail.
