Blue Heron

This Blue Heron is one of a set of 6 rakehead windows comprising a northern lake scene in Saskatchewan Canada. It measures  36 x 42 inches at the peak.  This set of windows was my reintroduction into the world of glass after a hiatus of over 20 years.  I was inspired by the waterfowl which inhabit the lake where I reside in Saskatchewan.  I drew the scenes for each window using a combination of patterns and free hand drawing. The windows are lead channel with a zinc frame.  They were mounted and held in place with oak quarter round trim.
