Mystery Fossil

This piece combined several complex processes.  The idea was to create a septor like piece within a reliquary.  This was not intended to be anything necessary religious but more on the lines of something precious inside.  The fossil like structure in the middle, along with the hands holding the reliquary, was carved out of wax and cast in brass.  The inside was carefully fabricated as a bayonet style catch.  The epoxy coating where the septor is coming out of is holding a collection of bones to mimic the outside of the reliquary.
