"Freeform" Hyacinth Macaw

1 loves
Description:

My "freeform" stained glass Hyacinth Macaw is native to central and eastern South America, with most of them being found in Brazil.  It loves the palm swamps and the woodlands.  It is the largest flying parrot species in the world and can grow up to 40" from the top of it's head to the tip of it's tail.
My beautiful  "Hyacinth Macaw" is just one of my many original "copyrighted" works of art. I have created approximately 20 different species of parrots. The spectacular colors are as true to life as stained glass permits.  My "Hyacinth Macaw" measures 34" high x 21" wide and is handmade by me using the "Tiffany" copper foil technique.
There is extensive solder buildup around this piece since it is not framed the traditional way. This work of art can be hung in any window, covered or protected patio or balcony area, or as I prefer to display them (suspended from the ceiling in the corner of a room amidst a silk tree and near a floor or table lamp to illuminate them).  The possibilities are endless, making them a very versatile work of art.
