Space Princess

I was inspired by a Peter McGrain seminar I attended at McMow Art Glass to try a Vitri Fusaille style window. This is the result. I modified his technique somewhat to suit my particular skill set. In order to get the exact colors I wanted in the spacegirl and the monster I fused three pieces of glass together, rather than Peter's usual two. The rest of the piece is traditional foiled stained glass, so the figures are raised from the surface by a quarter of an inch. I used my normal screen printing technique to apply all the areas in black. Due to several technical challenges, working off and on it took me the better part of a year to complete.
