Energy Sun

This is a very vibrant piece showing the release of enery from the sun to create light and color.  The squiggles represent energy in motion trying to escape. When their escape is complete they form an organized, spherical, form that appears to rotate.  There is a struggle within the piece as the squiggles loosely contained in the core continually try to seep out thus resulting in the sunburst always being bright and energized!  When I look at it I feel the same way!!

This piece measures 13 inches in diameter.  I used the copper foil technique with zinc u channel around the circumference.  Squiggles, nuggets, cut glass all create a piece that your eye moves over and around.
