The beauty of the Southwest landscapes and diverse array of colors and textures inspire the creativity in my glass work. I use both COE 104 and 96 glass in my work to allow the widest range of color choices. The beads on this totem are made individually of solid, hand blown hollow glass and disks in opaque and transparent glass. The top bead and the bottom beads are created by around a stainless steel nut with hot glass in the flame. The other beads are strung on all-thread, screwed into the bottom with the top bead screwing on to secure the stack of beads. The totem measures approximately 8 inches tall with the largest bead measuring approximately 1 3/4 inches wide.
