Tarantula

This is a lampwork tarantula that I made as a custom order for a gal. She said that as a child, she had adopted her science class pet spider and cared for it for more than 30 years before it passed away from old age. This glass creation really took me out of my comfort zone! 

I had the idea in my head right away that I wanted the legs to be posable. It took 5 tries before the whole thing came together successfully. I couldn't be prouder......of a spider! Go figure!
