Description:
Mosaic measures 12½" x 8½" (Bellbird is 6" long and 2" at it's widest). This is the first time I have used fired glass enamels and the CMC/powdered frit technique to enhance my mosaics (the CMC/frit was used to form the stems and calyxes of the kowhai blossoms) - it is exciting to visualise how I can use both these glass "tools" for future glassworks. I used Colours For Earth glass enamels on the bellbird's wings, tail, branches and foliage and Reusche glass enamels for the beak and legs - they make fine details possible :)
Material used:
- Art glass
- fired glass enamels
- CMC gel/powdered glass frit accents
