Dragon Fire

Original design 24"  mosaic mirror using beautifully refractive Van Gogh glass.  I wanted to create a piece that transforms as the circle closes, so I was inspired by the scale shape and used similar shapes and lines to transform the dragon into fire.  The horns and flames also mirror forms and dance into the fire.  There was no pattern for the fire and I organically cut the pieces one by one in whichever direction I felt they should burn.  I also placed a heart in the dragon's chest and he has mirrored teeth.  The glass is varied in the texture with a gorgeous sparkle.
