Middie's Buena Vista Rainbow

My husband's family got together and rented a house in Maryland for a week. This was the first time they were all gathered since their Mother, Middie, passed away. This is the view from the rental called "Buena Vista" in Deep Creek, Maryland in August of 2015. On the morning of the 6th Anniversary of Middie's passing, we awoke to find this picturesque rainbow.  We thought it was her way of sending a message to us, so I was inspired to create this mosaic of the scene. It's pretty large-scale, roughly 2 feet by 4 feet. I entitled it "Middie's Buena Vista Rainbow". It's hard to see all the detail in the picture, but if you look closely you will see small jewels and mirrored glass in the mix. There's also a subtle message in the cloud under the rainbow.
