flameworked paperweight with adventurine

You start with lots of tiny petals, stamen and leaves and build a "set up"or design, then vaccum in case the set up wth clear crystal glass. My early childhood memories include the paperweight that sat on my grandfather's desk which I loved to look at, and still have.

I made this weight in Debbie Tarsitano's class at The Studio at Cornining Museum of Glas and also studied making the set ups with Victor Trabucco. 

Don' t try these little flowers if you have had a double expresso!
