Blue Spring Angel

This lovely lady was the first panel I ever made in the copper foil method. She was hand drawn from an inspiring dress and I could not help but to give her beautiful hair and a pair of wings. I designed the wings after studying over two hundred birds in various stages of rest and flight. Her background has harsh angles that emphasize her soft curves. The wings and hair are made from opaque glass to make her and the sky radiant and the blue boarder adds just the right touch. Light from the front makes her wings the focal point along with the hand made 3" ornate frame. This panel is 24" x 18" without the frame and looks lovely in a window, on the wall or in a sunroom so that she colors the room at all times of the day. The wings alone are 129 pieces with the finished panel totals 329 pieces. Her pieces range in size from 1/2" x 1/4" to 13" x 2.5". She was gifted to my grandmother and made with the greatest of care.
