The Eagle Soars

Inspired by the bald eagles that love to play in the wonds over Crystal Lake in northwest Michigan, this panel features an eagle reveling over the waters in front of the setting sun.  The panel is a conglomeration of photos and landscape designs, measures 12" x 12" and is the center of five panels featured in the transoms over my front door (pictured.) My favorite parts of this piece are the majesty of the eagle of course, the colors in the glass that forms the setting sun, and the effect of turbulent waters that the blue Baroque glass creates.
