Thirsty Hummingbird

I love my hummingbirds when they come to drink nectar on my deck all summer! This panel was made from a photo I got of a hummingbird at my feeder, but I gave him some poppies to drink from instead (poppy patterns adapted from Ed Sibbet, Jr.'s "Floral Stained Glass Pattern Book", Dover Publications, Inc. 1982). My hummy features the distinctive red throat, and beautiful textured iridescent wings and tail.  I can almost hear him singing to me as he enjoys his supper!
