Description:
I designed this piece in the fall in an attempt to capture leaves falling from the trees. The center is a piece of clear glass. The leaves were cut using a ring saw. I touched off the sharp edges using a grinder. My original idea was to glue the leaves onto the clear glass center. I wasn't sure I could get the glue to hold so I ended up using copper foil on the top edge of each leaf and suspending the leaves by the wire. I spray painted the frame the same color as the orange in the leaves.
Material used:
- various colored glass
- copper foil
- 60/40 solder
- zinc frame
- spray paint
- pre-tinned copper wire
