Enso

For this commission, the concept given was "Welcome." This brought up ideas of connectivity & melding of people & thoughts & ideas from the world around us. From that, I created this abstracted "Enso" - a circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The enso symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength. elegance, the universe & the void - in this case, specifically designed to pull a warm & cool spectrum into the swirling image inside the fracturing background - symbolizing both our connection & impact to everything around us.
