FIRST I LOOK AT THE PURSE

Approx. 4" x 7" panel, constucted of half of a pressed-glass coaster, a square bevel, and several sizes of glass jewels-- blue, green and purple, round, oval and crescent shaped. The chain becomes an important part of the design as a handle, when I decide that the finished piece resembles an ornate, antique ladies' purse. The title of the piece refers whimsically to a song by '70s Boston rockers The J. Giles Band. I made the piece as a gift for a lovely friend of our family.
