Romantic Amber Pendant

I loved this piece of amber that i hand-cut from a round ball of amber given to me that a friend brought back from Thailand.  I couldn't wait to see if the inside color was nicer than the outside!  It was! It was much brighter inside and there were beautiful swirls inside it also. I wanted to crochet the backing to hold the round amber disc in place.  I used beads and the amber chips to embelish the exhuberance of the piece.  Overall, it became a beautiful piece that i was comletely satisfied with, and the cherry on top was the ruby gemstone set in the middle.
