Christine Baskets Portrait Night Light

I decided to make a tribute piece for Louie Anderson of one of my favorite characters ever, Mama Baskets! 

Here you see five steps of my process, my pattern, her cut & ground pieces, nicely foiled, soldered & copper patina treated, buffed up shiny and finally her bright expression created by hand-painting with enamels and glass paint. 

I love how she turned out, and adding the scalloped foil created a fancier neckline detail that Mrs Baskets I think would approve of.
