Ancient Pez Dispenser

The head is clear furnace blown glass with hot bit application created by glass artist, Jeanne Menafo. First the head is blown and shaped. While still on the blowpipe, bits of hot glass are applied and scuplted to form the facial features. The artist found inspiration for this design from ancient African artifacts.

The pez pieces were built by hand from clay. They were then carved and painted to reflect an aged patina. The metal stand was designed by Jeanne and fabricated at Rochester Arc and Flame using steel and found objects. It is currently on display in the RAF gallery.

The item stands aproximately 32" inches tall  and 7" wide.
