Description:
This mini rendition of Claptrap weighs in at just over 1.5 lbs. He consists of 89 pieces of glass, which is pretty staggering I think considering he's only 5.5" tall, 7" with the antenna and hand up. Due to that size, I had to complete many of the fine details with copper foil that I wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. His arms and tire were completed using boro tubing and rods that I cut and soldered. The hatch on the top is on a hinge so the bulb can be accessed. The base is made out of copper plate and lead to keep his center of gravity low. He took about 40 hours total. This guy was such an incredible joy, and challenge, to finish!
Material used:
- Spectrum stained glass
- boro tubing
- 60/40 Lead
