Description:
The inspiration for these figures comes from Jerry Barrish's work as featured in the film "Plastic Man," from Kachina dolls of Native American tribes of the Southwest where I reside and from people I know. The pieces in this series are 10 inches or less in length, with most around 5-6 inches long and often incorporate scraps of left over glass. The figures exhibit a sense of sophistication fused with a child's wonder and whimsy. In many of the works, masculine and feminine are fused in a delightful way. Please view all 20 photographs of my glass peeps.
