Description:
I'm a part-time woodworker and I wanted to push the envelope a bit by adding stained glass to one of my projects. I thought that this floor lamp I designed would be a good place to start. The lamp itself is quarter-sawn white oak and took about a month to complete. The main shade and the panels in the column took another 3 weeks. The lights in the top shade and the lights in the column are on separate switches so they can be illuminated independent of each other. This is the first stained glass piece I ever made and I think it turned out pretty well for a beginner.
Material used:
- quarter sawn white oak
- spectrum glass
