Primary Fusion

This is a fused glass art vessel by Joyce Sherwin. This vessel measures about 9.5" high and 10" across the opening.  First, I fired glass into brick mold and then sliced the brick to create the pattern pieces for the design.
Glass was also cut into strips and pieces and then the design was created and fused. A 3rd firing added clear frit as a sprinkle over the flat pieces to give it a sugary texture. The final firing was the draping to create the vessel shape.
I have photographed it under a spotlight and also in natural light.
