When two families become one heart

She has two daughters, he had three. This wedding was more than a joining of two people, it was the union of two families becoming one. This piece was made to represent all the various aspects of each family coming together to show the love the family had for one another. This piece is meant to be hung in a window, and does so now in the home of the loved family.

The five daughters were the only ones to stand with the couple at the wedding, and they got the pick their color of dresses, which were all shades of pink. Therefore this piece has various shades of pink used for the glass. It's hard to capture with a camera, but it much more obvious when looking at the piece in person, but this piece has the names of the couple engraved on the two outside top piece and the names of each daughter throughout the heart. That way it wasn't just a piece made for the couple, but for the whole family. The girls were thrilled to be included in the gift.

The individual pieces were engraved using a dremel engraver prior to soldering the pieces together. A thin wire is used to give the piece more stability on the backside but follows the solder lines so that it is invisible from admires.
