Daffodils in Hyde Park

0 loves
Description:

This is made using an Oddessy Lamp Form for Daffodill Tiffany style lamp. The lamp is 20 inches at the bottom and contains 684 pieces.  The lamp was created using the copper foil method and placing the tiles on the Oddessy lamp form.  The glass used was quality Youghiogheny glass in blues and greens to contrast with the yellows of the flowers.

This lamp is inspired by a trip to London and spending time walking in Hyde park through the vast stands of blooming daffodils. The artist was inspired to create the deep greens and blues to contrast to the crisp colors of the daffodils glowing in the sunlight.  The lamp snade is supported by a 20 inch lamp base with 3 bulbs to fully illuminate the entire design.

The view from overhead shows the complexity of the design and the manner in which the stems stretch from the bottom to the top.  The contrast of the blues, greens and yellows is clearly seen in this view.
