Description:
My first attempt at fusing a large piece and incorporating it into a stained glass panel. Also my first attempt at decorative soldering and twisted wire frame. It was a birthday gift for my 86 year old mother Cynthe, who now has to live in a memory care facility due to her health. She has trouble remembering which room door is hers so I designed this piece to hang just outside her door as a marker for her. She bred, raised and showed labs for many years and loves dogs so much. Blue is her favorite color also.
Material used:
- coe 96 glass
- stained glass
- enamel paint
- Pebeo Vitrea 160 paint
- 60/40 & 63/37 solder
- copper foil
- lead H came
- 18 gauge twisted wire
