Description:
I made this for my father-in-law who plays fiddle in a Bluegrass band. He had collected a bunch of violins over the years and was getting rid of some that weren't fixable. I asked if I could have a couple for art projects. I had seen lighted guitars before and thought a fiddle might look cool. I removed the top of the fiddle and made a pattern that would fit to replace the top. I used the copper foil method. I found some neat LED lights on a roll with an adhesive backing and put them in along the inside of the violin. I have only been working in stained glass for about 2 years and I think this is one of the best pieces I have ever made.
