Mosaic Koi Pond

This patio table is made with stained glass and fused glass.  I began by drawing out the pattern, cut the various pieces such as fish, flowers and dragon flies glued them down to the hearty board with thinset and then grouted and wiped clean.  The dragon fly bodies were made using scraps of fused glass that I cut off of a strip plate. The eyes of the fish are fused glass beads.  I gave the mosaic depth by adding a variety of blues and greens to give the piece different levels of color.
