A Hanukkah Menorah made for a fair at my local Synangogue, I used 4mm clear float glass, there a 3 layers to the Menorah, and the colour was built up using enamel and glass frit. I used a blue bubble powder to generate bubbles in the piece. The liece was slumped over a stainless steel former to acheive the desired finished shape, the final touch was to glue on candle holders.
