Dragonfly Lampshade

0 loves
Description:

This is actually the first Tiffany style lampshade that I've done. It's a dragonfly motif with 525 pieces of glass involved, brass filigree for the wings, and round and oval flat back jewels. It's a stunning piece at 18" in diameter. This lampshade I paired with a base with a leaf motif cut into it. The base itself was a unique find, it's handcut crystal originally made in Yugoslavia, and I found it in a yardsale in North Carolina. This is emblematic of one of the things I like to do with glass, take the old, and make it new again. Completed September, 2017. Created using 18" Dragonfly Lamp Kit (C181K, Discontinued on Delphi website [?]) which provided the pattern on the CF18 Worden System Mold.
