The image in this 8 by 10 piece was created from shards, frit and powders. It depicts my dog Lilly, who died last year. I tucked some of her ashes between the shards.
I have been experimenting with using glass to represent the brush strokes of a painting in order to create a realistic image. I use Bullseye glass because when I nip a sheet of their streaky glass into shards, I end up with a variety of colours of shards which nicely relate to each other.
