"Sunflower Sparkle"

This 14 inch platter was so fun and freeing to create! Random sized rectangles in varying shades of gold had their corners clipped off, and arranged around coarse black frit to become sunflower petals. Next leaves were made in the same manner using dark green glass and plenty of green aventurine to add sparkle. The base piece is black.  The piece was tack fused and then slumped. It looks lovely sitting in a sunny window!
