Cutthroat Saloon

This large (48" square) window was made for a 'man cave' bar.  The owner lives in Utah and is an avid fly fisherman, hence the cutthroat trout.  On the bottom left is a silouhette of a mayfly, the trout's favorite food, and on the bottom right is the silouhette of a tied fly version of a mayfly.  The lettering was cut out using a ring saw and fused onto clear background to minimize the lead lines.  I used kiln fired glass paint to add the spots to the fish's body, and to get the detail of the teeth.  The fins were made using two layers of glass, clear red and clear with ribbing, to give them a more fin like look.
