What is it about geometric shapes that is so satisfying to the eye?
In this OOAK (one-of-a-kind) stained glass panel, geometry teaches us that freedom arises from structure. Although the window itself is confined by the edges of the overall outer circle, the patterns created by the geometry of the piece have a layered effect that speaks of deeper dimensions.
Circles are thought to have a feminine association and are connected to love, energy and power. They also represent the wholeness, the Oneness, of all of Life. Within the circle lies the empty form of space, harmony and infinity.
The beauty of this stained glass window is created with a variety of textured hand-rolled art glass in shades of blue in light and medium turquoise and green in olive, chartreuse and a blending of the two together. The center of the window is held with three lime-green glass jewels for just a hint of sparkle. Eight vintage faceted glass jewels in teal add symmetry and balance to the design along with accents of violet creating just the right "pop" of color to keep the eye interested.
Finished in a soft black patina and framed in zinc came for strength and durability.
