Odin and the Wild Hunt

My second mosaic and i am hooked !  What a great way to use up scrap glass that only ended up at the recycle center because it was too small for any regular stained glass projects !  This piece measures 36" wide x 30" high and was done on backer board and framed out with pressure treated lumber.  The Wild Hunt began as an entry for an art contest of which the theme was "A Story from the Norse Lore" , but it quickly took on a life of its own and became much more ... How many times i told my husband, "i'm just going to go up to the studio and work on the mosaic for a little bit"  and then disappeared for countless hours ... but then, i'm sure anyone who works with glass knows how that goes :)
