Frolicking Seahorse

Enjoy life under the sea with this happy, little seahorse!  This COE90 tile measures 7 1/2"x 12 1/2" and is made of opalescent and transparent glass.  Stringers that compose the sky, birds and seaweed veins were hand-bent over an open flame.  Bubbles around the seahorse were made of dots fire previously to give them added dimension.  Each piece of the seahorse's scales was carefully hand ground to allow the white margins to show through.  The piece was fired to a light contour fuse to maintain texture.
