Life Under the Sea

This is a 12"H X 15"W hand painted fused glass sculpture, inspired by my love of the ocean, the coral reefs and the sealife.  The glass is 2 layers of clear float glass, hand painted with Unique Glass Colors enamels and bubble paints and fired to set the paints.  The piece is then placed on a stainless steel mold and slumped into the "S" shape.  It stands up on its own, but I didn't feel it was sturdy enough for an art exhibit, so I made the oak and steel rod display.
