Description:
This is an old well worn acoustic guitar that was at the end of it's musical life and given a new life as an art object! I just finished this guitar which will be donated as part of a Mardi-Gras themed fund raiser for the Chestnut Creek School of the Arts on Galax, VA. It was made of various types of stained glass, glass beads and geodes (for the eyes). The top of the old guitar was sawn off with a hand held jig-saw and the stained glass piece was epoxyed on, followed by some black caulking to seal everything up. The glass was chosed so that it would hopefully look good with the internal light turned on or off. I hope you enjoyed my Arty-Gras guita
Material used:
- Stained glass
- glass beads
- thin sliced geodes
- copper foil
- lead came
- old wooden acoustic guitar
