Great Horned Owl

This is an original design created using the photo shown with the piece.  The finished size with the frame is around 2' x 3'.  I used flat river rocks to make the beak and the little nose part above the beak.  I used black-backed copper foil sheets to do the veins on the leaves, applying the foil to the backs of the leaves, the cutting away all but the veins, and soldering and applying patina - the veins show through to the front like shadows.
