Moonshine Tree at Twilight

This flat panel mosaic piece was my original design that I created in a formal classroom setting during my first-ever mosaic class that I attended last summer. My inspiration was from a photograph from one of the months from a calendar. There are some great pictures on calendars that I hope to continue this trend. The transformation from photograph to mosaic art form can be easily achieved when you squint at a picture and look at the form, shape and colors and can visualize these objects constructed from glass.The sky, the sunset and shimmery moon all came together so vividly against the dark bare branches of a leafless winter tree.
