Asian Angle Mosaic

This is a micromosaic portrait measuring 11.75 x 12 inches using stained glass and frit accents. There is no grout which increases the level of detail. All pieces are handcut and further shaped with a grinder to allow for flush placement. A piece of this size takes approximately 40 hours to complete. This piece is decorative and intended for indoor enjoyment. 

I love mosaic portraiture, especially trying to capture unusual perspectives as well as a variety of cultures. I also enjoy experimenting with non-flesh tone colors as well as doing pet portraiture.
