Scaly Slimy Spectacular

This 3 dimenational panel is located in the enterance to the Zoo Atlanta, reptile and amphibian experience. The size is 6'x6' and is in a 5" deep light box with LED lighting which we fabricated and installed. This is the logo of the exhibit. The frog is 3 dimentional and breaks through the border onto a background of lily pads with the buildings name: Scaly Slimy Spectacular all in stained glass.To create the frogs body we made a mold, then soldered the glass together and finally fit it and soldered it to the background of the piece. The plan was to have stained glass be a beautifu welcoming for guests to the world of reptiles and amphibians. Francine Gebus, Charlie Gebus and Tommy Clark of Gebus Stained Glass designed and executed this piece. They have been working together on projects both big and small for over 20 yeaars
